Urban Survial: THE KITCHEN GARDEN Continues...
So, the green house is in full production and I have made a
raised bed within the green house to increase growing space. Plants are all growing
in the veggie patches and the chickens are growing up and settling in to
their new surroundings.
Oh, and I have learnt a new life hack...when preparing vegetables for cooking the ends of leeks, spring onions, carrots and parsnips should be saved because when placed into water and indirect sunlight they start growing again.

Once they
have their roots I relocate them into the raised bed and voila! Food production
in full swing!
Currently growing: Aubergine, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Runner Beans, Cauliflower,
Spinach, Butternut Squash, Onions and Spring Onions, Pak Choi, Lettuce, Leeks, Carrots,
Herbs, Radishes, Potatoes, Peas, Garlic, Horseradish…Chickens…and Kiwis, musn't forget the Kiwis!
